This policy explains how Cards & Games Haven (“CG Haven”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit cghaven.co.za, contact us, create an account or place an order.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, contact number, delivery and billing details, account information, order details and correspondence. If you select PUDO delivery, this includes your selected locker and information needed to arrange delivery.

Our website and hosting services may also record technical information, such as your IP address, browser information and access logs, to operate the website and investigate security or technical issues.

How we use your information

We use personal information to manage accounts, fulfil orders and pre-orders, confirm payments, arrange delivery, respond to enquiries, handle returns and refunds, prevent fraud and maintain records required by law.

Processing is based on the purpose involved, including fulfilling our agreement with you, meeting legal obligations, protecting legitimate business interests or obtaining consent where required. Information needed to process an order must be supplied for us to fulfil it. Optional information and newsletter subscriptions are voluntary.

Payments through PayFast

Payments are processed through PayFast. Information needed to complete and confirm your transaction is exchanged with PayFast, and we receive payment confirmations and transaction references for order administration.

PayFast handles information within its payment services under its own Privacy Policy. Do not send card details or payment passwords to us by email or through our contact form.

Sharing information

We share information where needed with payment providers, couriers and locker-delivery services, hosting and technical providers, and professional advisers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to investigate fraud or protect legal rights.

We do not sell customer personal information. Service providers should receive only the information needed for their work.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies or similar storage to support functions such as shopping carts, account sessions and security. Blocking these through your browser may affect website functionality.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or Meta/Facebook Pixel on this website. PayFast and other external services may use their own cookies within their services.

Marketing

If you subscribe to updates, we use your email address to send information about products, releases and offers. You can unsubscribe using the option in a marketing email or by contacting us. Essential order and service messages are separate from marketing.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including order administration, accounting, legal obligations and resolving disputes. Deletion requests may be subject to these retention requirements.

We aim to protect personal information through appropriate access controls and technical and organisational safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, applicable requirements for protecting personal information and lawful cross-border transfers must be observed.
